The Eagles Athletic Department reports high scholastic standings for its student-athletes for Fall 2016. In the fall of 2016, the Eagles Athletic Program, based in Monroeville, reported high scholastic standings as the student-athletes proved they are successful on and off the court (and field).
Three of the four teams averaged a compiled GPA above a 3.0, with a final Eagles Athletic Department GPA of 3.05. Forty of the 75 student-athletes earned above a 3.0 and averaged about 15.9 credit hours per student-athlete.
"Our coaches have done a great job recruiting the type of athletes that it takes to be successful in the classroom and have helped provide a culture that promotes student success within their teams," Daniel Head, Athletic Director and Head Baseball Coach of the Coastal Alabama Community College Eagles said.
