Lady Cardinals Look to Continue Success

The 2014-15 Gadsden State Lady Cardinals look to continue building on the success they have enjoyed the last two seasons. The 2012-13 Lady Cardinals went 25-8 and made the ACCC Final Four while the 2013-14 team finished 28-6 and competed in the ACCC championship game. Last year's team lost 5 of their 6 games to Top 25 opponents including 3 to eventual ACCC champion Shelton and one to #2 ranked Walters State.

The Lady Cardinals return five players from last year. All five returnees saw significant playing time, including All ACCC tournament selection Sarah Garner and NJCAA All Star game participant Taylor Frazier. Carla Clemmons returns as the teams most experienced post player and Jordan Gray returns as the team's defensive stopper. DJ Catlin returns at shooting guard.

Gadsden State welcomes several talented Freshman to the team including Emily Murray from State Champion Paxton High in Florida, Jaide Walker from 2A State Champion Woodland, Casey Perot from 2013 State Champion South Walton High in Florida, Natasha Holcombe 3A State Runner up Holly Pond, Brittany Washington from Class 6A Runner up Choctaw High in Fort Walton, FL, Kaelyn Irby, Morgan and Maya Jones from Cartersville, Ga. , Austin Richardson- Robertsdale, Denise Newton- Spain Park, Jessica Willingham- Cordova, Emilee Forrester- Hazel Green.
